Club Handyperson - Job Description

This Job Description is a guide to the nature of the work required of this position.  Additional duties may be required as decided by the Club Manager

Job Title: Club Handyperson

Responsible to: Committee via Club Management.

Salary: £10.00 per hour

Working hours: 16 hours (Radyr Golf Club) and 8 Hours (Llanishen Golf Club)

Job Purpose                        

To ensure that the clubhouse and its surrounding areas are presented in a fashion that adds to the golf course and the experience for members and visitors alike.  to ensure that relevant health and safety checks are put in place and conducted on a regular basis in conjunction with the club manager to act as the primary point of contact for external contractors working on site.to act as part of the ‘front of house’ team by greeting and acknowledging members and visitors as required

Main Duties

Daily check and maintenance – The member of staff will be required to meet with the Club Manager at the start and end of each day

Patio  - Clean and free from rubbish

Steps - Clean and free from rubbish. Paint as required
Car Park - Clean and free from rubbish
Bins       

Patio

Shoe Cleaning Area

Trolley Room – Clean and Ensure safety
Recycling cardboard

When Required:

Moving chairs and room set up for large events

Moving, dismantling, erecting tables

Power wash bins & area surrounding

Power wash the fat trap

Power wash men’s urinals

Maintenance / staining of patio furniture annually

Reading the electrical meter

Cleaning of the Barbeque

Clearing out of men’s locker room as required

Weekly

Check light bulbs

Check light fitting

Check external lights

Run taps that are used on an irregular basis

Carry out and record fire alarm check

Monthly

Clean air filters – Smoke extractors, Air Conditioning

Check and clean Grease filters

Check emergency lighting

Check running men emergency exit lights

Check door closures

Winter summer

Central Heating timers

Hanging Basket watering system

Flood Light timing switch

Power wash the patio area and Dry Rainge

Other work

General Maintenance & monitoring of building External & internal

Painting

Shelving

Organisation

External Handrail & Railings

Fitting of locks
