Job Title Bar Manager
Responsible to Food & Beverage Manager
40 Hours Per Week, 5 Days over 7
28 Days Holidays
To act as “Front of House” for all functions and events, liaising with the Food & Beverage Manager, Chefs and Office. Welcoming Societies and other visitors and making sure that they are aware of arrangements made for them.
Maintain a high and visible profile on a day-to-day basis by being “on the floor” during peak service hours including serving drinks.
Responsible for the strict compliance with all licensing and other regulatory (including Health & Safety) regulations, and the reporting of any non-compliance or incidents. A written report should be submitted to the Club’s Management advising what action is required.
Serving alcoholic drinks at the bar only during the Club’s licensing hours.
Ensure bar is correctly set up with products being displayed and current promotions effectively marketed and publicised.
Control the Cellar and its stocks to ensure correct usage, storage and accountability in line with Health and Hygiene guidelines
Issuing written orders for supplies required, recording the receipt of such goods and subsequently approving the suppliers invoices.
To maintain agreed level of bar gross profit in line with the Club’s Expectations.
Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to ensure function/event guest numbers remain within the agreed parameters and to ensure staffing levels are reflective of the numbers of members/ guests using the clubhouse.
Responsible for the proper accounting and recording of all beverage sales whilst ensuring that the pouring measures are being followed according to the legally required standards
Reporting immediately to the Club Management any damage or necessary repairs to the Clubhouse.
Maintaining Security of the Clubhouse, including its daily opening and closing at times laid down by the Committee.
To be responsible for responding to any alarm callouts.
Ensure that the Bar Serving area, bars, Clubrooms and patio areas are monitored with a major focus on promptness, cleanliness and set-up/breakdown processes.
Responsible to ensure that Bar equipment is properly used and the maintenance schedule is adhered to.
Responsible for ensuring cleaning schedule for the bar area is maintained by Bar Staff.
Responsible for ensuring the disposal and recycling of packaging and materials in accordance with Club’s requirements and procedures.
