Radyr Golf Club, a Harry S Colt golf course, is situated on the outskirts of the City of Cardiff. The parkland course is noted not only for the challenge that it presents to those who chose to take it on, but also for its fabulous views of Cardiff, The Vale and The Bristol Channel.
Wales’ first ever Professional event was held at Radyr back in the early years of the 20th century and the course has been highly regarded ever since with many County and National Championships being held here on a consistent basis.
The course measures 6,053 yards, par 69 (SSS 70) for men and 5,485 yards, par 72 (SSS 72) for ladies and is renowned for excellent putting surfaces and course presentation. Radyr also leads the way for young junior golfers and has two categories of junior tees for beginners, which shortens the course and encourages their development.
Selected by Golf World as one of their Top 20 courses in Wales in 2011, the club hosted the 2012 Girls' Home Internationals.
This truly is a 12 month golf course, with the club operating a policy of no tee mats and no temporary greens during winter months resulting in a memorable day all year round
